Dr. Carole Kowalczyk is a woman who moves Detroit. She’s the founder and medical director of the Michigan Center for Fertility & Women’s Health, which for the past 17 years has been helping couples struggling with infertility make their family dreams come true.

Dr. Kowalczyk’s influence and leadership go beyond her medical practice. For the past five years, she has been co-hosting a talk show on AM 760 WJR called “Healthy Women.” The program educates and inspires women, and provides an invaluable community of support.

Her passion for educating and supporting women is also evident in the numerous Women’s Health Conferences she has funded/ hosted over the past 10 years. She recognizes that women today play many roles: wife, mother, worker, and caregiver to ailing spouses and parents. Her conferences provide tools to help women balance these responsibilities.

Dr. Kowalczyk also gives back to the community in a big way. In 2011, she founded the Seasons of Life Fertility Foundation, which helps couples who have encountered a life-changing event — and who suffer financial hardship — receive fertility assistance. She discounts fertility services for military, police, firefighters, and cancer survivors. Dr. Kowalczyk also provides financial assistance to numerous Detroit organizations, including S.A.Y. Detroit, the Belinda Sue Fund, Impact 100, and Turning Point.

In the true spirit of a “woman who moves Detroit,” Dr. Kowalczyk is the publisher of Wisdom & Wellness, a health guide that helps readers make informed decisions about their health, finances, and emotional well-being. Learn more at
